Dr. Farrokh Buchia Chairman & Managing Trustee

Dr. Farrokh Buchia is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Trustee of The Vahishta Foundation. With over 45 years of experience as a psychotherapist, he has dedicated his life to supporting emotional well-being and training individuals in psychotherapy, psychoastrology, and metaphysics. His deep insight into the human psyche led him to develop his own therapeutic methodology—Natural Psychotherapy.

Seven years ago, his passion for serving humanity gave rise to The Vahishta Foundation, an NGO committed to providing quality therapeutic support to underprivileged children and adults alike. The Foundation reflects his lifelong mission: to make healing accessible and meaningful for those most in need.

A lifelong learner and teacher, Dr. Buchia has amassed a personal collection of over 5,000 books across his fields of interest. These now form the heart of the Foundation’s reading room—a quiet space for reflection, learning with a hot cup of tea, open to students and visitors alike.

His legacy continues not just through his work with individuals, but also in his commitment to training the next generation of psychology professionals. His calm, wise, and compassionate approach remains a cornerstone of the Foundation’s ethos and an inspiration to all who cross his path.

Gargi Lakhani Vice Chairwoman

Gargi Lakhani is the Vice Chairwoman and a Trustee of The Vahishta Foundation. A psychotherapist with over two decades of experience, she has worked extensively with adults through individual, marital, family, and group therapy. Her passion for teaching psychotherapy and metaphysics is matched by her deep commitment to creating safe, transformative spaces for healing and growth.

Rooted in spiritual practice, Gargi weaves awareness, intuition, and compassion into her therapeutic work—offering a rare blend of psychological depth and soulful presence.

A cornerstone of the Foundation, Gargi played a pivotal role in shaping its direction. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she designed outreach initiatives for the elderly and children—programmes that have since been expanded and continue to serve as the Foundation’s core initiatives to this day. She also oversees all clinical work at the Foundation, mentoring therapists and students with clarity, warmth, and wisdom.

Jamshed Jeejeebhoy Trustee

Jamshed Jeejeebhoy is a Trustee at The Vahishta Foundation, bringing a wealth of experience in philanthropy and community engagement. With a background in family office investments and a commitment to social impact, he plays a pivotal role in guiding the foundation’s strategic initiatives and outreach programs. His dedication to fostering compassionate care aligns seamlessly with the foundation’s mission to provide mental health support to underserved communities.

Dipti Mehta Trustee

Dipti Mehta is the Chief Creative Officer at Lumex.Online, where she brings a fresh dimension of creativity to the traditional diamond industry. With a passion for innovation and design, she plays a pivotal role in shaping Lumex’s brand identity and customer experience. As a Trustee of The Vahishta Foundation, Dipti contributes her creative vision and strategic insight to support the foundation’s mission of providing compassionate mental health care to underserved communities across India.
