A very unique, different and an interesting approach to the world of the mind. This internship has helped me personally to deal with my emotions and also with the emotions of others. I have never been as excited to attend any classes as I have been to attend TVF. Like an excited child waiting to go to play. I am 46. Farookh Sir and Radhika Mam have been great teachers allowing our minds to think and not just follow what they say. I feel genuinely blessed that I as a part of TVF. Like Radhika Mam always says, ''I UNDERSTAND,'' and that's exactly what TVF stands for.
Throughout this internship I found myself learning not only about psychology concepts but also gaining insights about my own self. I began to actively use the concepts in my life, where I would make connections with the theory to things like movies, people around me and even myself. Through the internship, I also found my liking for working with children which I discovered while visiting the orphanage in Matunga. To be very candid, every time I'd go there, my troubles would fade away for hat particular one hour because it allowed me to focus in the present and learn from the children as well as the facilitators.
Having been a part of the Internship at the Vahishta Foundation proved to be a valuable experience for me in terms of gaining a realistic image of the society in a mental health space. The training enabled me to interact with professionals who didn't hold back and shared their knowledge and experiences in a way that helped me navigate my personal journey better. Overall, it was a very well thought out program by the Vahishta Foundation, who took efforts to train our batch before we stepped out for the volunteering, something that was very thoughtful on their part.
